We went her with the tour and I have to admit it was freezing, and wet in early Feb. So I would take at least one winter coat for Hanoi. We arrived very early and the coaches and cars were already filling the car parks. You join in the line, no bags or camera's are allowed so give them to your guide, plenty of security around. The resting place of Chairman Mao is as the description depicts a Mausoleum. You are ushered in and walk around the embalmed body of Mao and out again. You can then venture around, lots of other things to see the gardens and where he lived.
